The key to a listening center is the jackbox, the distribution point from the audio source to the headphones. The jackbox enables an individual or small group of students to listen to content without disrupting others. At the same time, this also makes it an ideal tool for differentiated learning, literacy, story-time and language learning applications.
Our 1210AVPS stereo jackbox accommodates up to ten students with stereo headphones plugged into its ¼" jacks. It has ¼" and 3.5mm plugs, so the 1210AVPS can be connected to an audio source such as a computer, mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet, or a multimedia player. It also has a 3.5mm jack on one side to daisy-chain (or link to) another stereo jackbox to create an even larger learning center.
Built with rugged ABS plastic housing for durability, the 1210AVPS has silver-plated contact points for a solid connection and moisture resistance, individual volume controls for customizing audio for all students. There are two ¼" holes on the top deck of the 1210AVPS so it can be permanently attached to a table top.
